Job Role: Marketing Assistant/Content Creator

Work Schedule: TBD with the client (20 hours per week)

Salary range: 1,000 AUD/month

Setup: Part-time, permanent remote job, Independent Contractor Agreement

Role Overview: We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Marketing Assistant / Content Creator to join our team. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone passionate about digital media and marketing who’s eager to gain practical experience across a wide range of tools and platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the creation and updating of website content across various platforms
  • Generate and format newsletters for distribution via email marketing platforms
  • Update and maintain multiple documents across different systems and tools
  • Support broader digital marketing activities as required

Requirements

Experience & Skills (Preferred but not all essential):

  • Experience creating and editing content in CMS platforms such as WordPress and Joomla 3
  • Basic understanding of HTML and CSS
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Experience using Canva for design tasks
  • Understanding of email marketing platforms such as Zoho Campaigns or Campaign Monitor
  • Familiarity with CRM systems like Zoho CRM or Salesforce
  • Experience using FTP software to manage website files

About You:

  • Passionate about digital media, marketing, and content creation
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
  • Capable of working independently and meeting deadlines
  • Able to follow instructions and also think creatively when required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Note: While meeting every listed requirement isn’t essential, a strong interest in digital marketing and a proactive attitude toward learning are key. We're especially looking for someone who’s confident with social media, someone who can actively help grow our accounts and contribute to content creation, rather than taking a passive role.

There is also an opportunity for this position to transition into a full-time role.
