Job description

Job Description:
  • The Architect must work closely with multiple teams including the project, Application Services, ERP implementation and the ERP support and maintenance teams, as well as the business.
  • The architect is required to ensure solutions follow Government, client & Fusion Technology Solution Strategies & IT Best Practices.
  • This position will coordinate their deliverables and work through the Project Ready (PR) Project Manager.
  • The Senior Solution Architect should have a strong technical background in addition to experience and extensive knowledge of Oracle Fusion SaaS modules, ERP implementations, data transformation, and systems integrations.
  • Additional experience of System and database analysis and working in the public sector is considered an asset.
  • Identify and provide an overview of the current state of the business application Department environment.
  • Depiction or description of target client's business application Fusion Native state.
  • Identify technology gaps and risks in moving from current to future Fusion Native state.
  • Identify, assess, and provide recommendations on how to address technology gaps.
  • Plan, facilitate and lead discussions with existing and potential stakeholders to.
  • Identify and explore viable solution options to be mapped as part of the roadmap.
  • Obtain cost, phasing, prioritizing, scheduling, and resource estimates for solution options.
  • Scope initiatives and sequence them on a roadmap (minimal 3 year) based on dependencies, business objectives and risk mitigation.
Deliverables:
  • ERP Solution Architect and Technical Solution Analysts.
  • Client Fusion Support Team.
  • Client business Department applications support team.
  • Other client IT teams (Infrastructure, DBAs etc).
  • Others as identified, required.
  • Verify the Department applications impacted by previous (ERP R4 & R8) and future ERP releases.
  • Verify all the Department databases and/or data warehouses impacted by previous (R4 & R8) and future ERP releases.
  • Document architecture standards for Fusion integration points, as they apply to Department applications.
  • A/P chart of accounts.
  • Transactions.
  • HR integrations (payroll, leave).
  • Identifies specific initiatives with written descriptions to be used as a blueprint for both the business and technology services to follow in efforts to achieve Fusion native future state.
  • Sequences and prioritizes the initiatives.
  • Contains strategic initiatives to achieve the Fusion Native objectives as well as any tactical initiatives to maintain operations while the strategy is realized.
Mandate Requirements:
  • Experience in successfully planning, scoping, managing, facilitating, and completing identified deliverables. 5 years
  • Experience in working independently to identify options and perform benefit analysis (i.e. cost, technology) to simplify assessment for decision makers. 5 Years
  • Experience in roadmap development, initiative scoping, effort estimation and Business Case development. 5 Years
  • Experience in assessing and producing application and data warehouse architectures including system integrations. 5 Years
  • Minimal 15 years IT experience with minimal 5 years in a technology solution architecture role.
