Role: AWS Data Engineer
Position Type: Full-Time Contract (40hrs/week)
Contract Duration: 6 Months (with a possibility of extension)
Work Hours: US Time
Work Schedule: 8 hours/day (Mon-Fri)
Location: 100% Remote (Candidates can work from anywhere in Costa Rica or Brazil)

About the Role:

Client is seeking an experienced AWS Data Engineer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in data engineering, particularly with AWS tools, and will play a critical role in building and enhancing their data lake. Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Senior Architect to build and establish standards and foundations for their data lake.
Work in a pattern-based environment to ensure quick value addition.
Mentor junior team members and contribute to a positive team culture.
Experience utilizing AWS tools such as Redshift, Athena, Glue, Lambda, Lake Formation, ECR, and Docker.
Implement CI/CD pipelines to streamline data processes.
Handle and expose various data types, including email data, within the data lake.
Work with legacy databases, particularly MariaDB, to migrate and integrate data into the new data lake.

Required Qualifications:

Ideally 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer, with a focus on working on large-scale data warehouses.
Strong experience with AWS tools such as Redshift, Athena, Glue, Lambda, Lake Formation, and ECR, Linux, CI/CD practices or others.
Comfortable with Docker and DBT modeling.
