ACI Network Engineer

You will be responsible to design, implement, maintain, and support Client's growing network infrastructure. This position will be part of a team that is responsible for designing and developing scalable, maintainable, highly available network architectures that meet business objectives and SLAs. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Assist in building out a new ACI and SONiC fabrics.
• Design, Configure, and Deploy Cisco Nexus (ACI) and 8K Series Routers (SONiC)
• Research, evaluate, design, implement, and maintain system and product solutions, applying knowledge of Data Center Network engineering principles.
• Provide Tier lll technical support for Cisco technologies (ACI; NXOS; FTD; SONiC; Network Load Balancers)
• Automate and perform daily operational duties supporting the Data Center Network Infrastructure
• Develop and maintain advanced functional knowledge of evolving IT engineering industry technologies/competition, concepts, and trends.

Qualifications:

• 5+ Years of experience
• Expertise configuring Client's Data Center network products
• Experience implementing, troubleshooting, and automating Data Center Network solutions
• Tier lll escalation operational support experience in a Data Center environment
• Experience working with Cisco Nexus – 7K, 9K; Cisco Silicon One 8K Series Routers - 8100, 8200, 8600, 8800
• Expert executing basic Network Routing Protocols like OSPF, BGP, EVPN and working knowledge of IS-IS (Integrated Intermediate System-to-Intermediate System) for ACI.
• Knowledge of VLAN or MACsec (Media Access Control security)
• Strong experience supporting Firewalls such as FTD or ASAs or equivalent
• Experience with operational support of Network Load Balancers
• Solid understanding of the Data Center industry, products, and protocols.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Python and/or other language for automation of network configuration and orchestration activities
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills
• Effective organizational, planning and time management skills

Skills (Mandatory):
Route & Switch:

• Excellent knowledge and experience of Routing, Switching, ACLs, Subnetting concepts
• Excellent understanding of static and dynamic routing protocols - EIGRP, BGP
• Good understanding of VPN technologies like IPSec, DMVPN and Remote Access VPN
• Knowledge of both IPv4 and IPv6 must
• Excellent network troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of NG Firewalls (ASA/FTD/FMC)
• CCNP certification
• Good understanding in navigation and usage of Linux CLI

Nice to haves:

• CCIE Routing & Switching
• VRFs, IPSec
• Knowledge of Git or any other revision control system
• Python
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Routing & Switching
• Good communication skills, willingness to learn, must work individually/independently and as a team player as well

Job functions:

• Configure and install various network devices and services, from routing, switching, and firewall
• Manage the network infrastructure
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Participate in regular system maintenance and upgrades.
• Understand and apply standards where we snowflakes/custom configurations are noticed
• Handle operational cases that involve access related items (verify, confirm and propose where needed), troubleshooting network related issues (slowness, routing issues)
• Handle network triggered events, like eigrp flapping, faulty hardware, faulty interfaces
• Assist with the verification and keep a high standard of our infrastructure
• Implement new hardware and handle configuration
• Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies.
• The topic of working in shifts is still open and will be confirmed.
• But the candidate should willingness to work flexibly since we're a global team. This is not a day job.
