The Research Environment Specialist will join the Data and Technology Services Division (DTS), and will play a crucial role in designing, building and maintaining high-quality research computing environments that are scalable, reproducible and AI-ready. These environments will empower LSE researchers to maximise the effectiveness of their computational tools, workflows and data management systems.
By collaborating with researchers, IT teams, and external partners, the post-holder will drive best practices in HPC, cloud platforms, virtual research environments and open science initiatives. This role will also focus on developing secure, collaborative research environments that facilitate seamless partnerships between internal and external researchers while upholding security best practices and integrating AI/ML ready infrastructures to support the next generation of computational research.
We Are Looking For Dynamic Individuals With
Proven experience with research software, scientific computing frameworks and HPC
Expertise in scripting and automation
Strong understanding of containerisation and virtual research environments
Experience implementing automated data lineage and workflow tracking tools
Knowledge of commonly used research software.
Experience with large-scale data analysis frameworks
A passion for enabling cutting-edge research through technology and innovation
