As our Medicare Bad Debt Analyst you will work with the project leads and managers to ensure quality deliverables for our clients. Every day you will complete the required tasks and confer with the project lead that the project is ready for their review prior to submitting to the manager/senior manager. Working as a part of the Government Navigation Suite service line, the Analyst will partner with team members to primarily work with Medicare bad debts.  The team works with a large variety of hospitals and systems to review and test Medicare bad debt claims for Medicare reimbursement. 

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and interpret patient accounts for Medicare Bad Debt and WS S-10/Uncompensated Care for filing on the Medicare Cost Report

  • Work remotely in patient accounting systems (Epic, Cerner, etc.)

  • Collaborate with team members on complex issues that arise from the review of patient accounts.

  • Work with larger sets of data to analyze anomalies and outlier issues with patient account

  • Assist with CMS/MAC audits

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • 2+ years' experience working with Medicare Bad Debt preferred

  • Experience with cost reporting, hospital reimbursement, and auditing and/or MAC (Medicare Admin Contractor) experience

  • Experience working with and meeting timelines

For this US-based position, the base pay range is $43,888.00 - $70,631.44 per year . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

This job is eligible to participate in our annual bonus plan at a target of 5.00%
