SIG is looking for seasoned Higher Education Finance professionals or consultants with expertise in Ellucian Banner or Ellucian Colleague. In this part-time role, you’ll work closely with college and university finance teams to implement, optimize, and support the Finance modules of either Banner or Colleague.

This is a remote, project-based position, and hours will fluctuate based on client needs. Consultants must have availability during normal U.S. business hours to collaborate with clients across various time zones. Occasional travel to client sites may be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide functional consulting, training, and support for Ellucian Banner or Colleague Finance modules.
  • Analyze and optimize business processes related to general accounting, budgeting, purchasing, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting.
  • Configure and test ERP systems to meet institutional requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand challenges, define goals, and recommend improvements aligned with industry best practices.
  • Leverage ERP tools to enhance and automate financial processes within higher education institutions.
  • Troubleshoot functional and technical issues and assist in maintaining data integrity.
  • Provide end-user training, documentation, and support for software usage and upgrades.
  • Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
  • Stay current on trends in higher education finance and ERP solutions and share recommendations with clients.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in the Higher Education industry, ideally in a Finance related leadership role.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Ellucian Banner or Ellucian Colleague, including Finance module configuration and support.
  • Proven experience with implementation, optimization, and user support for higher ed financial systems.
  • Strong understanding of financial operations in higher ed, including accounting, budgeting, and procurement.
  • Demonstrated ability to enhance business processes and drive operational efficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to troubleshoot system and functional issues and liaise with technical support as needed.
  • Availability during standard U.S. business hours and the ability to work flexibly based on project needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing project-based consulting engagements.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
  • Ability to travel occasionally for on-site client work.

Pay Transparency

  • The range for this role is $45-63 per hour
  • 5% company contribution to 401k

 

The listed salary range for this position is indicative and subject to adjustment based on the candidate's unique skills and location. Final compensation will be determined through mutual agreement between the successful candidate and SIG.
