The HRIS Specialist, People Systems will be part of a team that handles employee confidential data and supports the systems relating to personnel data (Workday). This position will offer an inquisitive fast learner the opportunity to be trained on Workday, a leading HR and payroll enterprise application. The program will build solid knowledge in core HR information system fundamentals with the intent to build a future HRIS/People Systems Leader or Subject Matter Expert.

Responsibilities

  • The incumbent will be focused on HR Information Systems (Workday) as a People Systems team member and will have the opportunity to gain overall working knowledge of HR processes.

  • Learn and support in troubleshooting of Workday HR system issues.

  • Learn our Workday core HCM system and how it enables everyday Employee HR related tasks, understand management of personnel confidential data.

  • Analyze and problem solve People System production tickets.

  • Provide day-to-day support for issues related to HR Systems by investigating problems and developing detailed suggestions for resolution of issues.

  • Learn Workday Business Processes, its configuration and maintenance for PTC HR teams.

  • Will be responsible for entering and maintaining system data transactions sent from the HR business partners and HR Operations team.

  • Learn basics of how data feeds into and out of the Workday HR System from vendors and other systems to provide support.

  • Learn and support in troubleshooting for basic ServiceNow-related issues.

  • Learn and perform system administration tasks and system maintenance of ServiceNow HR Case Management module.

  • Assist in creating and maintaining content for the global employee portal (PTC Connect) with audiences that include employees and HR 

  • Work with IT and the Programs and Analytics team to build out the ServiceNow (or Power BI) dashboard to better leverage ticket metrics.

  • Respond to tickets in ServiceNow. 

  • Learn basics of how data feeds into and out of the Workday HR System from other internal PTC applications. Understand the interdependency of Worker data and other corporate applications.

  • Learn to provide configuration support with Core HCM, Security, Benefits, Absence and Recruiting in collaboration with other People System team members.

  • Will be responsible for creating reports for the HR team and leaders as needed.

  • Support year-end Compensation module launches, Open Enrollment and other HR annual cycle activities.

  • Regularly communicate status and challenges to team members and management.
    Recommend process improvements and innovative solutions.

  •  Assist in providing training and support to new and existing users of Workday HCM.

  • Learn and stay informed about Workday HCM updates and enhancements, participating in training and development opportunities.

  • Collaborate with other HR teams to understand issues that need resolving. Assist users with "how to" questions.

  • Perform other tasks and assignments as needed and specified by management. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Excellent written, verbal, communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite with strong working knowledge of excel, including writing

  • Macros and data manipulation.

  • Superb attention to detail, analytical, customer centric approach.

  • Strong leadership skills, ability to listen and influence.

  • A positive can-do attitude and willingness to learn.

  • Excellent time management and project leadership.

  • This is a one (1) year Talent Pipeline Program, and the candidate/applicant must be able to

  • complete the entire one-year program.

  • Fellow must be a recent college graduate
