As a Data Warehouse Engineer at Insureon, you will be instrumental in the design, development, and optimization of our data warehouse solutions. We are currently seeking an accomplished SQL Developer with expertise in T-SQL, SSIS, and Power BI to create, develop, and uphold secure and efficient database solutions. The selected candidate will be pivotal in crafting data integration processes, enhancing database performance, and generating meaningful visualizations through Power BI.

Responsibilities:

• Database Design and Development:
  • Contribute to the overall life cycle and health of the Relational Database Management System.
  • Lead the design, development, and optimization of stored procedures to execute various data manipulation tasks.
  • Participate in maintaining data integrity by implementing data validation processes and performing quality checks.
  • Develop and implement effective indexing strategies to enhance query speed.
  • Participate in monitoring and adjusting partitioning schemes according to developing data patterns and usage.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and report developers to understand reporting requirements and ensure the data warehouse meets analytical needs.
  • Lead Data Warehouse support by providing expertise to end-users for data access and interpretation.
  • Contribute to maintain the data warehouse performances by fine-tuning queries, indexing, and partitioning strategies.
  • Create and maintain documentation of database architecture, SSIS processes, and Power BI reports.
  • Develop PowerBI dashboards and reports for Data Warehouse monitoring.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of data archiving and purging strategies to manage the growth of historical data.
  • Data Integration and Migration:
  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of ETL projects for data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
  • Contribute to the Optimization of the current processes for maximum efficiency and minimum impact on source and target systems.
  • Monitor and analyze ETL job performance, identifying and addressing bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for ETL workflows, including design documents, data transformation logic, and troubleshooting guides.

Preferred Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as a SQL Developer with expertise in T-SQL, SSIS, and Power BI.
• Strong proficiency in T-SQL and database management.
• Experience with database design, normalization, and optimization.
• Familiarity with data migration, integration, and ETL processes.
• Knowledge of database security best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Knowledge of C#, SQL JSON parsing\formatting and SSRS are a plus.

Although hybrid to a local HUB office is desirable, we are open to remote candidates.

Disclosure required under applicable law in California, Colorado, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, New Jersey, and Washington states: The expected salary range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
