Job description

Reporting to the Director of Compliance, the Compliance Associate will play a key role in supporting the Company’s US Compliance program.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Oversight and Governance of Vendor Management

  • Provide support to the Director of Compliance to ensure compliance with the Vendor Management  framework designed to minimize vendor risks by outlining a process for hiring, monitoring, and terminating vendors.

  • Assist business partners in the completion of risk-based vendor performance reviews to ensure timely completion and evaluate the adequacy of controls in place to safeguard the organization, including tracking, monitoring, and managing issues identified.

Regulatory Change Management

  • Oversee the Regulatory Change Management process including implementation of changes to business practices, processes, and/or products in response to legislative and regulatory developments; action plan tracking, policy and procedure maintenance, and maintaining a digest of changes implemented

Monitoring and Assurance program

  • Conduct compliance monitoring and testing activities to ensure that the organization adheres to legal, regulatory, and internal policies and standards

  • Document findings, assessment of issues, and recommendations in detailed written reports as well as track and monitor remedial actions to closure

Compliance Training Program

  • Assist with the administration and monitoring of the compliance training program

Education, Requirements & Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA) from four-year College or University.

  • 5 years related experience in insurance industry or regulatory/compliance role.

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization.

The base salary range for this role is $75,000-$101,500. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors that are unique to each candidate including geographic location, skill set, experience, qualifications and education.
