The Product Cyber Assurance Specialist will play a pivotal role in securing the RTX organization’s products and services by defining the governance activities for Product Cybersecurity across the corporation. The role is designed for a strategic and technical leader who will be responsible for developing and maintaining policies, procedures, and guidance for consistent application of Product Cybersecurity activities across the lifecycle. The Assurance Specialist will incorporate the latest applicable regulations from customers into governance artifacts to flow to individual programs and products lines.

The Assurance Specialist will lead efforts to standardize the processes required to ensure Products and Services operate in a cyber contested environment. In this dynamic position, you will work closely with various functions to ensure alignment with Product Cybersecurity to include RTX Lifecycle Management Program, Product and Service Safety, Supply Chain, and Product Artificial Intelligence. You will develop technical documentation, presentations, and product cybersecurity awareness materials for deployment across the businesses as well as provide regular project status updates to stakeholders, internal teams, and senior management.

What You Will Do

  • Governance Artifacts: Create and maintain policies, procedures, and guidance related to Product Cybersecurity. Review business unit level governance artifacts to ensure alignment. Support configuration management efforts with project tracking, including maintaining an integrated master schedule. Prepare and deliver project presentations to change boards.
  • Industry and Regulatory Trends: Stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity standards, regulations, and trends to identify updates required to RTX Product Cybersecurity governance.
  • Cyber Supply Chain Risk Management: Create and maintain guidance and best practices related to managing cyber risk in the supply chain (both hardware and software) in coordination with the supply chain function.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work effectively across functions to ensure cohesive security practices and responsibilities.
  • Travel Requirement: Up to 20% travel.
  • Attend onsite meetings as required

Qualifications You Must Have  

  • Typically requires bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering or related field and a minimum of 10 years of experience
  • Technical development experience working directly for a Program or Service within a Business Unit
  • Product Cybersecurity experience (including hardware and software)
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
