Summary:
In this role, you will leverage your analytics engineering expertise to transform healthcare spend data into actionable insights, driving contract implementation and category management. You will build robust data pipelines, optimize database systems, and partner closely with cross-functional teams to deliver meaningful analytics solutions.

Responsibilities:
Reporting & Continuous Improvement:
  • Use data visualization tools to create reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights for business stakeholders.
  • Proactively collaborate with stakeholders to identify and resolve errors within visuals; partner with upstream data teams to address root causes and ensure data accuracy.
  • Manage and maintain external stakeholder access to reporting platforms, ensuring appropriate permissions and data security.
Data Integration & ETL:
  • Design and implement data pipelines for the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of contract data.
  • Collaborate with other teams to integrate data sources and maintain data integrity.
Database Design & Management:
  • Optimize database design and management for contract data
  • Implement best practices for data storage, retrieval, and security.
Data Governance & Master Data Management:
  • Implement and maintain best practices for data governance, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and compliance.
  • Maintain and enhance a custom categorization schema derived from standardized methodologies, supplemented with direct research for increased accuracy and relevance.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support:
  • Partners with sourcing, operations and implementations teams ensure system integration meets business requirements.
  • Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders and promote cross-functional collaboration.
Project Management:
  • Identify essential tasks and define project timelines.
  • Manage deliverables related to integration, data availability, and data accuracy.
  • Ensure on-time completion of projects while aligning with broader organizational goals.

Qualifications:
  • Relevant degree preferred.
  • 2 or more years of relevant experience in data engineering or a related role required.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing ETL pipelines and data integration processes.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL databases.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of data governance and master data management best practices.
  • Strong project management and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with healthcare spend analytics
  • Expert with Power BI
  • Experience with strategic sourcing, contracting, or contract implementation
