We are seeking a compassionate, licensed School Nurse to join our educational team in supporting the health and wellness of students. The School Nurse will oversee health services, manage student health records, provide first aid, and promote a healthy school environment in compliance with California state laws and district policies.

Responsibilities

Conduct health screenings (vision, hearing) as required by California law.
Maintain and update student health records in compliance with HIPAA and FERPA.
Implement communicable disease control procedures and serve as a health resource during outbreaks.
Collaborate with parents, school staff, and community health providers to ensure student well-being.
Educate students and staff on health-related topics such as hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention.
Develop and implement Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs) for students with specific medical needs.

Qualifications

Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Current CPR and First Aid certification.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Experience in pediatric, public health, or school nursing is a plus.
Strong communication, organizational, and record-keeping skills.
Ability to work independently and make quick, sound medical judgments.
Pass a background check
Provide a clean TB test
