Job description

About the Role

The Senior Director of Marketing Operations will be a key leader in the Go-to-Market Operations organization, partnering with the Marketing leadership and other Operational teams on strategy and operations. This role will oversee all operations functions for a marketing team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading and scaling marketing operations in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

 

What you will do
  • Develop and execute a strategic marketing operations plan that aligns with overall business objectives.
  • Lead a high-performing team of marketing operations professionals to deliver against strategic goals.
  • Partner with Marketing leadership to drive the annual planning process, including headcount capacity modeling, demand generation spend mix and ROI analysis, and prioritization of critical initiatives.
  • Lead the quarterly demand generation spend planning process—ensuring alignment with top-down goals while optimizing based on performance trends and regional needs.
  • Design and implement scalable marketing automation processes, including lead routing, lead scoring, campaign operations, and content/program automation to increase team efficiency.
  • Evaluate and manage the marketing technology stack to ensure scalable and efficient usage, while maintaining alignment and integration with the broader GTM tech ecosystem.
  • Ensure a clean, attributable data architecture—managing and growing contact databases, capturing key engagement signals across the buyer journey, and enabling comprehensive pipeline and ROI analysis.
  • Own marketing analytics, including the setup and maintenance of attribution models and end-to-end pipeline and ROI reporting.
  • Provide actionable insights to marketing teams—build self-service dashboards, lead regular performance review cadences, and recommend optimization strategies based on results.
  • Oversee the technical strategy and execution of the website, supporting key product launches, rebranding initiatives, and demand generation programs.
  • Partner with Revenue Operations to align GTM strategies and coordinate cross-functional activities to improve funnel performance and guide demand gen investments.
  • Manage marketing budgets—ensuring adherence to allocations, accurate spend attribution, and close coordination with Finance to align forecasts with actuals.
  • Lead the Marketing Program Management Office to execute complex initiatives, including product launches.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation—leveraging AI to transform marketing execution across all functions. 
Must Haves
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in Marketing Operations or a related field.
  • Proven track record of working in a fast growth (over 30% growth) and at scale (over $100m in ARR) Technology company
  • Deep understanding of marketing data, structures, measurement, digital, campaign/audience insights, analytics advertising tools, and adtech
  • Expertise in marketing technology, including marketing automation and CRM systems, including Marketo and Salesforce.
  • Proven track record of using AI to optimize and redefine Marketing process and investments
Nice to Have
  • Cybersecurity experienced preferred
  • Strong leadership and change management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • MBA or equivalent is a plus.

Base salary range:
$221,000$260,000 USD
