Overview 

This role is responsible for project management support and will play a crucial role in identifying, improving, and developing technical solutions that drive strategic goals.  This role will function as a liaison between the business and development teams. Experience with technical project management driving solutions to delivery with a strong knowledge of Epic Systems is important to be successful in this role. This position is remote working EST hours.

 

Responsibilities & Duties 

  • Manages the entire project lifecycle from project definition through implementation.
  • Partner closely with stakeholders to gather and write requirements for the development team.
  • Write features, user stories and acceptance criteria.  Must be able to clearly communicate requirements between technical and non-technical resources.
  • Collaborate closely with software engineers to develop customer-centric solutions and groom user stories.
  • Build an understanding of the current Epic System architecture to assist in assessing needs for future designs and development.
  • Develops project plan and drives project milestones.  
  • Establishes effective communication plan with project team and key stakeholders.  
  • Provides day-to-day direction to project resources.  
  • Identify, track and report program KPIs to assess impact. 
  • Coordinate, manage and monitor workflow of the cross-functional teams. 
  • Provide and perform quality assurance checks on project artifacts and deliverables. 
  • Facilitate and lead project meetings and discussions with stakeholders at all levels. 
  • Create appropriate documentation to communicate program status/risks/needs. 

Requirements

Desired Skills and Qualifications 

  • Minimum of 7 - 9 years of experience in consulting and/or project management.
  • Industry experience in Healthcare Systems.
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience working with various Epic Systems modules and applications required.
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel, PPT and MS Project is required.
  • Experience facilitating UAT and basic understanding of defect resolution best practices.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder, and project management skills. 
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, ability to communicate effectively and succinctly with all levels of stakeholders including C level management. 
  • Must be able to work autonomously and without clear/specific instructions.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast based, ambiguous and at times, high-pressure environment. 
  • Works with a sense of urgency to accomplish tasks and facilitate desired outcomes. 
  • Ability to think analytically, process information quickly, presenting it in a succinct and insightful format suitable for executives. 

 

Education/Certifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience is required
  • MBA is preferred 

Compensation

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado, Sand Cherry Associates is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. This role is a 3+ month contract and has an hourly rate range of $85 - $95. Years of experience, level of education, geographic location, unique skills/qualifications for the specific role and potential certifications can be key factors in the final compensation for this role.
