Job Description:
Xenith Solutions is seeking a CI/CD Pipeline Engineer with agile methodology experience to join our team in support of a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) contract in Northern VA (Ashburn, VA area / remote).  As a member of the team, you will support our prime contractor’s Agile Solution Factory (ASF), which is a passionate team of industry-leading personnel supporting the best practices in Agile Software Development.  The ability to be adaptable and to work constructively with a technically diverse and geographically separated team is crucial.  You should have worked with or have a strong interest in Agile software development practices and delivering deployable software in short sprints.
What You’ll Get to Do
  • Work as an integral part of an Agile Scrum team, a highly productive team of technical professionals who thrive on supporting the customer's mission and growth objectives
  • Deploy, and maintain the DevOps infrastructure for mission critical applications taking into consideration scalability, reliability, and maintainability of software systems
  • Work in close collaboration with other architects, technical leads, software developers and testers, and stakeholders within Agile processes to continue the automation of the software build, configurations, and deployment processes.
  • Install, configure and maintain all tools needed to accomplish the following DevOps functions: source control management, continuous integration, deployment, monitoring, repository management, provisioning, release management, logging, building, testing, containerization, collaboration and security.
  • Continue development and maintenance of the automated software build process using tools such as, but not limited to, Docker, Jenkins, ArgoCD, Kubernetes, and specific AWS technologies.
  • Assist with creating project resource estimates, metrics to track completion phase, defect reports, defect prevention, development efficiency and quality
  • Contribute to an atmosphere of cross-functional teamwork within the organization’s agile project lifecycle
  • May need to work off hours for support and deployments if necessary.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass CBP background investigation, criteria include, but not limited to:
    • 3-year check for felony convictions
    • 1-year check for illegal drug use
    • 1-year check for misconduct such as theft or fraud
  • College degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems or a related discipline.
    • Experience will be considered in lieu of a degree plus 5 + years related experience
  • Prior experience with continuous integration (Bamboo, Jenkins), Weblogic, Docker, AWS, Kubernetes, Istio, API Gateway and GitLab
  • Ability to design and document technical solutions related to continuous integration and continuous deployment.
  • Administration, configuration and maintenance of the application stack (Spring Boot, Database, K8S cluster, etc.)
  • Proficiency in automating and optimizing processes
  • Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with a very strong work ethic and a self-starter
  • Effective organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
  • Exposure to certificate management for issuing, renewing, and deploying certificates to endpoints
