Job Description

We are looking for a Lead Data Platform Engineer to design and optimize the data pipelines that power our AI-driven insights. This is an opportunity to work at the forefront of AI and data engineering, collaborating with a talented team to shape the future of transportation technology.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines to support Generative AI applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and optimize data workflows.
Write efficient, well-structured Python code for data processing and automation.
Work with Airflow, Meltano, Airbyte, and dbt to orchestrate data workflows.
Develop and maintain PostgreSQL databases, optimizing queries and performance.
Deploy and manage AWS cloud infrastructure for data processing and storage.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline development and deployment.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
4+ years of experience in data engineering, backend development, or a related field.
Proficiency in Python and experience with Airflow, Prefect, or similar workflow orchestration tools.
Strong SQL skills with hands-on experience in PostgreSQL.
Experience with AWS services for data storage and processing.
Expertise in ETL/ELT pipeline development.
Familiarity with CI/CD best practices for data engineering.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Preferred Skills

Strong familiarity with data cataloging and governance tools and practices
Startup experience
Some familiarity with Gen AI tools / platforms
