Job description

Catalyx is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join our growing team to work remotely and travel around Europe delivering IT Solutions to clients.

Who We Are:

Catalyx specializes in the science of operational processes. With a footprint across North America and Europe, the company carefully automates and services R&D, production, packaging, and delivery processes—globally—with a sophisticated blend of products, technologies, and lifecycle services. The company was formed in 2022 after CXV Global (Crest Solutions, Xyntek, and VistaLink) and Panacea Technologies joined forces. For over three decades, Catalyx’s partnership-based culture has helped organizations in production-intense, highly regulated industries optimize their operational efficiency, performance, and safety. The Role:

Join a growing service delivery team providing project implementation, technical support, and customer training for specialised automation and software solutions used in regulated manufacturing environments. You’ll play a key role in ensuring customer success across European sites through hands-on system setup, validation, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver on-site installation, configuration, and validation of software and hardware systems to meet customer project requirements
  • Provide technical support including electrical and optical setup, system testing, and troubleshooting
  • Implement and test system integrations with external equipment or platforms
  • Act as a key point of contact for project exceptions and updates, keeping project managers informed
  • Ensure customers receive clear operational documentation and training for all installed systems
  • Maintain accurate field reports, engineering documentation, and “as-built” updates
  • Liaise closely with internal engineering and support teams to drive resolution and quality
  • Conduct operator training sessions for customer teams across Europe
  • Ensure compliance with site safety standards, relevant regulations (e.g. FDA, ISO9001), and internal quality processes
  • Represent the service delivery team professionally and effectively, maintaining strong working relationships with customers and partner organisations

Requirements:

  • Must hold a valid EU passport to meet travel requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Electrical, Computer, Software, or Automation Engineering OR experience supporting electrical and automated systems
  • Experience in electronics, ideally involving PC- or PLC-based systems
  • Strong troubleshooting ability and technical problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable with extensive travel (up to 75–85%), including multi-week trips within Europe and occasional international travel
  • Knowledge of packaging line equipment in pharma or food industries is a plus
  • Experience with AutoCAD, MS Visio, and technical documentation tools
  • Fluency in English is essential; additional European languages a plus
  • Excellent communication skills for dealing with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Familiarity with .NET architecture, MS SQL databases, ODBC, TCP/IP, or reporting tools (Crystal Reports, SQL Reports) is an advantage.
