About the role 


As a Copywriter, you will play a central role in helping define and deliver compelling storytelling for an international diamond and jewellery brand. You will be responsible for crafting SEO-informed editorial that both inspires and performs. You will bring a creative, brand-led approach to storytelling while ensuring optimisation best practices are consistently applied. 

This role demands not only exceptional editorial skill but also deep subject matter expertise in the diamond and jewellery sector. You should be fluent in the language of luxury, craftsmanship, gemology, and heritage—able to elevate content with credible industry insight and bring authenticity to every piece you write. 

You must have an innate understanding of what makes the world of diamonds, jewellery, and luxury resonate with global audiences—particularly in the US market. This role requires strong writing skills, a deep understanding of the category, and an ability to collaborate across editorial, SEO and creative teams. 


What you’ll do 

  • Write original, high-quality editorial content across web and social platforms
  • Bring expertise in diamonds and jewellery to everything written, ensuring brand relevance and industry credibility
  • Ensure all content is aligned with the tone, visual identity and brand voice of the client
  • Conduct interviews with brand experts and craftspeople to inform feature content
  • Optimise content using keyword insights provided by the SEO team
  • Write performance-based content that drives brand awareness and audience engagement
  • Maintain and evolve the brand's editorial content calendar
  • Collaborate with creative and strategy teams to concept and deliver content ideas
  • Stay up to date on diamond and jewellery trends, cultural moments and seasonal opportunities within the US market
  • Bring international and US-specific luxury consumer insights into every brief
  • Ensure accuracy, clarity and polish in all content produced

About you 

  • 3–5 years of experience writing editorial content in the digital space
  • Deep experience in or passion for the diamond and jewellery industry, including an understanding of the heritage, craftsmanship, and emotional value of diamonds
  • Skilled in balancing brand storytelling with SEO optimisation
  • Experienced in creating content for both web and social media channels
  • Comfortable adapting tone for luxury positioning while keeping content accessible and inspiring
  • Able to conduct interviews and translate them into compelling narrative content
  • Based in South Africa with strong awareness of international markets, particularly the US
  • Strong collaborator with a positive attitude and openness to feedback
