About the Role 

As a National Channel Manager at Wellmore, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, achieving monthly sales targets, and initiating and maintaining ongoing relationships with existing and potential customers on a national scope for our Costco and Walmart channels. For this role, we are seeking those who have strong leadership capabilities, experience in negotiating and forecasting and a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets within the retail landscape. 

 

What You’ll Do 

  • Meet/over-deliver assigned forecast targets 
  • Develop and execute channel specific joint-business plans that align with corporate and customer specific goals and objectives 
  • Create and execute promotions based on ROI, historical performance, and consumption data 
  • Develop channel specific product launch plans and presentations that align with corporate and customer specific objectives 
  • Understand importance of marketplace pricing & ensure customers follow recommend pricing guidelines and adhere to AMPS/4Ps 
  • Develop best-in-class business relationships with each customer. Provide leadership as a trusted business-partner 
  • Attend customer specific trade shows/national meetings as required  
  • Accurately forecast sales in units and dollars and provide monthly updates to the Operations teams and other internal stakeholders 
  • Accurately forecast and effectively manage trade spend budgets to achieve sales target without overspending 
  • Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships to include Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain 
  • Build strong relationships in the C&G channel, regional operators, (Petro, Shell, etc) and distributor networks (ex: Core-Mark, McLane, Federated, Wallace & Carey).   
  • Skillfully navigate foodservice buyers (Sysco, GFS, Compass, Aramark) and high-volume vending/wholesale accounts. 
  • Ability to tailor RTD execution by channel and customer vertical. 

 

Requirements

What We’re Looking For 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Business preferred (equivalent experience will be considered) 
  • 4+ years Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sales experience required  
  • Negotiation and effective presentation skills are critical 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Powerpoint 
  • Commercial & Analytical Acumen: Strong ability to leverage data and insights from platforms such as IRI, Nielsen, Flintfox, and Dunnhumby to craft compelling business cases and develop customer-specific programs. 
  • ROI-Driven Decision Making: Experience in ROI modeling to assess program effectiveness and support negotiation of favorable terms. 
  • Entrepreneurial Operator: Demonstrated ability to act as both a builder and executor—beyond relationship management—with a focus on delivering impact. 
  • Field Execution Expertise: Deep knowledge of retail execution strategies, including display, merchandising, and in-store tactics that drive velocity, especially in small-format environments. 
  • Account Management Experience: 5–7 years of national account management experience engaging with category managers and buyers at strategic customers across Food, Mass, CPG, and Foodservice channels. 
  • Proven Sales Performance: Established record of meeting or exceeding sales goals and driving measurable business growth. 
  • Analytical Proficiency: Advanced analytical skills with hands-on experience using IRI and/or Nielsen data to guide strategy and evaluate performance. 
  • Strategic & Creative Thinking: Strong problem-solving ability with a strategic mindset and creative approach to overcoming challenges. 
  • Independent & Collaborative: Comfortable working autonomously while also contributing meaningfully within cross-functional teams. 
  • Cultural & Brand Alignment: Passionate, energetic, and culturally attuned individuals who naturally represent and advocate for the brand.

The annual base salary range for this position is $110,000-$130,000 USD/year. The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to: location, education, skills, training, and experience. This position may also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
