Job description

WWC Global, an operating firm of Command Holdings, is seeking an experienced Military Women's Health Policy and Public Health Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the Program Director, Patient Advocacy & Experience, Women's, Child & Family Health Policy in OASD(HA) and the Senior Public Health Analyst in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel & Readiness (OUSD(P&R)) Office of Command Climate and Well-Being Integration (OCCWI).

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide support for efforts associated with women’s health and child and family health policy.
  • Develop summaries, information papers, tasker responses, and reports, as necessary.
  • Perform policy and literature reviews associated with military health care, health care delivery, prevention, and/or human performance optimization.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (e.g., provider and specialists) to develop formal memorandums, policy guidance, reports, and responses to inquiries for leadership and legislative representatives (e.g., Reports to Congress), media outlets, and other organizations.
  • Perform data analysis, identifying trends, developing graphs/charts, and summarizing results, as necessary.
  • Manage and facilitate meetings with key Military Health System women’s health and child and family health stakeholders.
  • Communicate and conduct regular check-ins, supporting project management, anticipating client needs, and proposing solutions.
  • Support development and execution of an environmental scan that seeks to better understand ongoing DoD prevention efforts.
  • Provide public health subject matter expertise to develop key messages and channels to engage military audiences around reducing tobacco use, the responsible use of alcohol, and not using illicit drugs.

Expected salary range: $150,000 - $200,000

This position is expected to end on or about September 29, 2025, with a possible contract extension.


Work Environment:

  • Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone and printers) and /or occasional Loud noise (airfield, large equipment).
  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.

Travel:

  • 11-20% / Occasional travel.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • Master of Public Health (MPH) degree.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. (Eligible to pass Federal security clearance process. Please visit the link for FAQs: https://www.dcsa.mil/mc/pv/mbi/gicp/).
  • At least 8 years of experience working in public health, prevention, and/or women’s health.
  • At least 4 years of DoD experience.
  • Experience reviewing, revising, and coordinating DoD policies.
  • Familiarity with the Washington Headquarters Service publication process/milestones.
  • Experience drafting and coordinating responses to Congressional and/or Government Accountability Office and/or Office of the Inspector General inquiries.
  • Experience drafting Reports to Congress on military health care and/or prevention-related topics.
  • Strong leadership presence and ability to adapt quickly to changing client direction.
  • Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and client focus.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Professional proficiency in English is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current, active Secret security clearance.
  • Experience supporting OUSD(P&R)/OFR/OCCWI and OASD(HA)).
  • Experience working with the military Services.
