We are looking for an Advanced Physiotherapist Practitioner to join our growing team, providing musculoskeletal expertise in our virtual service.
Position:
As an Advanced Physiotherapist Practitioner for IPRS Health you will be responsible for the delivery of advanced practice physiotherapy clinics for assessment and management of MSK patients referred into the Virtual Lucy service. This involves choosing evidence-based tests and treatments and considering the person's individual preferences, beliefs and values. You will support the Clinical Leads of the IPRS MSK team with providing effective clinical and operational delivery of the Virtual Lucy Advanced Practice Physiotherapy services in the virtual setting. You will also provide clinical support to the Virtual Physiotherapy team, as well as clinical training where necessary. You will also support the MSK Clinical Leads with Virtual Lucy service evaluation and development where needed.
Your success will ensure that patients receive the best possible evidence based care in their treatment pathway and that the service grows from strength to strength
Responsibilities
As an advanced Physiotherapist Practitioner for IPRS Health, you will be responsible for the advanced assessment, complex clinical reasoning and management of MSK patients in the virtual setting. This includes:
To be accountable for your own clinical caseload, providing advanced physiotherapy assessment and management within your scope of clinical practice.
To appropriately manage your individual clinical caseload which could include audio and video based clinical triage, ordering of appropriate investigations, evidence based clinical management and rehabilitation delivery.
Discuss imaging findings with patients in review appointments and determine appropriate and collaborative management plan in patient friendly language.
To be responsible for timely, quality, medically correct and accurate client reports with IPRS standards.
To maintain work towards key KPIs specific to the role of a virtual advanced practice physiotherapist.
Ensure compliance with all statutory and legal regulations (e.g. access to medical records, Data Protection Act).
To be responsible in maintaining your own Continuing Professional Development – particularly in relation to advanced practice physiotherapy practice and in line with the IPRS APP competencies.
Work with the MSK Clinical Leads to provide training, audit, and clinical support to the MSK team.
To support the MSK team to meet goals set by the business to ensure clinically appropriate patient management and improve clinical outcomes.
To support in undertaking clinical audit.
To improve client satisfaction by ensuring the patient journey accurately reflects evidence-based practice across the MSK services.
To contribute to personal and professional development of the MSK team.
To work with the MSK Clinical Leads to improve clinical documentation.
You will be flexible to undertake any other duties compatible with the grading of the post, as required.

Minimum 3 years clinical experience in MSK Physiotherapy (E)
1 year experience of APP or FCP, F2F experience (E)
Evidence of continuing professional development (E)
Previous IRMER training (E)
Meeting the MSK APP standards (ARMA 2023)
Clinicians can demonstrate that they meet the standards of an AP above in several ways:
Being an MACP member or having met the criteria for membership.
Completing a validated MSc programme via an accredited university.
Having reciprocal MACP recognition by completing an IFOMPT recognized course in another country as well as being HCPC registered
Prior experience of working at an Advanced Practice Level requesting diagnostic investigations across all MSK conditions (E)
Evidence of prior ordering of imaging (D)
If not directly requesting imaging, clear evidence of case discussions or ongoing CPD around imaging modalities of XR, US and MRI (E)
IRMER training (D)
e-lms training modules 1-4 (certificates needed) (D)
MSc / MSc modules / Evidence of M level study (D)
Experience of the Occupational Health, Healthcare Insurance and Rehabilitation Market (E)
Previous experience of working in public and private healthcare (E)
Experience in delivering evidence-based treatment pathways including patient material (E)
Computer literate with good excel, word and PowerPoint skills (E)
Proven experience in the use of Databases (E)
Experience of working on a Virtual MSK Physiotherapy Service (D)
Evidence of clinical leadership (D)
