Commercial Manager - Fruit & Vegetable Ingredients m/f/d

Sales Area Germany, Austria, Italy

  • Ideally, you have already a strong network of customers and suppliers and bring valuable relationships to the table.
  • Ideally you work remote from Germany
  • This is a B2B job, ideally you have a network into the the fruit preparation Industry
  • Our client is a successful provider of high-quality fruit and vegetable ingredients for the food and beverage industry. We specialize in sourcing, processing, and delivering natural ingredients to food and beverage manufacturers worldwide.


Tasks

  • Manage key B2B customer relationships, including food manufacturers, beverage producers, and industrial clients with a focus on German, Austrian and Italian markets
  • Handle negotiations, pricing, and contract agreements to drive profitability.
  • Work closely with R&D and technical teams to support customers in product development and innovation projects.
  • Stay on top of market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with growers, processors, and suppliers worldwide.
  • Ensure quality, cost efficiency, and sustainability in procurement processes.
  • Monitor commodity pricing, supply risks, and logistics to optimize sourcing decisions.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.
  • Ensure cross-functional alignment between sales, supply chain, quality and operations.

Requirements

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in sales, sourcing, or procurement in the food ingredients industry
  • Proven track record in B2B sales and supplier management.
  • Experience in international trade, import/export, or commodity sourcing.
  • Strong understanding of fruit and vegetable ingredients (such as concentrates, purees, dried or frozen products) and their particular seasonality.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • A proactive, independent, and results-driven mindset.
  • Fluent in English and German; additional European languages are a plus.
