Job description

Our Client, a global healthcare company, is looking for an Accounting Operational Excellence Manager who will lead and drive Finance Transformation (FT) initiatives focused on the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process. This role will serve as a key change agent, overseeing discovery workshops, process harmonization, stakeholder engagement, and global standardization initiatives. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and ensure the effectiveness, scalability, and sustainability of P2P processes within the GBS organization.


This is a remote, contract role. The length of this contract will be until the end of 2025, with the likelihood of renewal well into 2026. The selected candidate must be able to work the Client's EU hours


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead FT discovery workshops across assigned countries to identify current state, pain points, and transformation opportunities
  • Develop and implement best-in-class frameworks and methodologies for FT discovery; ensure standardized approaches are adopted across all GBS sites
  • Provide strategic process leadership to operations teams on P2P topics, ensuring alignment with GBS objectives and industry best practices
  • Drive process standardization efforts by aligning internal procedures with global external benchmarks
  • Define and track metrics to assess continuous improvement progress and adherence to transformation goals
  • Collaborate with Global Process Owner (GPO) teams to integrate and align end-to-end transformation initiatives across service lines
  • Act as the process controller for end-to-end P2P processes, ensuring consistency and integrity in execution
  • Partner with Centers of Excellence (COEs) to define and implement policy frameworks that support robust and effective P2P operations
  • Evaluate and enhance current KPI frameworks, shifting focus from transactional indicators to analytical, value-driven metrics
  • Review SLA and performance data at the site level to conduct root cause analyses and recommend cross-site improvement plans
  • Work with Internal Audit to establish risk controls, documentation standards, and audit requirements across the end-to-end P2P lifecycle
  • Align transformation opportunities and priorities across functional domains, regions, and local country requirements
  • Lead change management and stakeholder engagement strategies to support transformation success and user adoption
  • Manage a global network of matrixed stakeholders including regional Process Managers, Super Users, Sub-Process Owners, and Data Stewards
  • Collaborate with COEs, Business Partners, and GBS site leads to harmonize tools, processes, and key delivery metrics
  • Identify and implement modifications and enhancements to existing systems and workflows, with measurable organizational impact
  • Build and expand technical expertise within the functional domain and promote the sharing of best practices across regional and global teams
  • Support implementation and optimization of P2P systems and tools across GBS locations as assigned


Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Operations, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in P2P, Finance Transformation, or Operational Excellence within a shared services or multinational environment
  • Strong knowledge of P2P processes, finance operations, and process optimization methodologies
  • Experience leading cross-functional transformation projects and global initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement standardized operational frameworks
  • Proficient in using KPIs and analytics to drive performance improvements
  • Experience working with audit teams, compliance standards, and risk control frameworks
  • Strong change management and stakeholder engagement skills in matrixed organizations
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred), P2P tools, and finance automation solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
