For our client, a global pharmaceutical company we are seeking a dynamic and experienced
Product Owner to oversee the delivery, enhancement, and operation of
20 PowerApps applications. This role combines the responsibilities of a Product Owner and a Business Analyst, requiring a deep understanding of user needs, business objectives, and technical capabilities. The successful candidate will manage a team of 3 PowerApps engineers and will play a crucial role in driving the development and continuous improvement of our PowerApps solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Product Ownership
• Define and prioritize the product backlog for the PowerApps applications, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into user stories, and ensure clarity for the development team.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all product-related inquiries, providing insights and updates to stakeholders.
• Implement demand management practices to prioritize requests and manage stakeholder expectations effectively.
• Utilize tools like Jira and Confluence to track progress, manage workflows, and document project details.
• Analyze demand trends and provide insights to inform strategic decision-making.
Business Analysis
• Conduct thorough analysis of business processes to identify opportunities for improvement through PowerApps solutions.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to elicit requirements and validate solutions.
• Develop and maintain documentation, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
Team Management
• Lead and mentor a team of 3 PowerApps engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Coordinate team activities, ensuring timely delivery of features and enhancements.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Champion Scrum methodology within the team, facilitating sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Ensure that the team adheres to Agile principles and practices, promoting continuous improvement and adaptability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of PowerApps solutions within the broader organizational framework.
Requirements
Required Skills and Experience
• Proven experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst, preferably in a technology-driven environment.
• Strong knowledge of PowerApps development and deployment processes.
• Familiarity with demand management practices and tools, particularly Jira and Confluence.
• Experience working in Agile environments, with a solid understanding of Scrum methodology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications
• Certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner).
• Experience in managing software development teams.
• Knowledge of additional Microsoft Power Platform tools (e.g., Power Automate, Power BI).
