Job description

A leading retail fixture provider is seeking a skilled Gondola Shelving Sales Manager to drive business growth and develop client relationships in the retail display industry. The ideal candidate will leverage product knowledge and retail merchandising expertise to deliver customized shelving solutions that maximize sales floor efficiency and product visibility for clients.

Sales Development & Client Acquisition

  • Identify and target potential clients in retail, grocery, pharmacy, convenience store, and specialty retail markets
  • Conduct market research to analyze competitor offerings, pricing trends, and evolving retail display needs
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market presence

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers including store planners, retail operations managers, and procurement directors
  • Provide consultative selling focusing on store layout optimization, merchandising strategies, and ROI improvements
  • Address client inquiries, negotiate contracts, and ensure successful implementation of shelving systems

Sales Process Execution

  • Lead the entire sales cycle from lead generation to proposal development, contract signing, and installation coordination
  • Collaborate with design and installation teams to ensure shelving solutions meet client specifications and timeline requirements
  • Prepare detailed floor plans, product quotations, and visual merchandising recommendations for client presentations

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track sales metrics including sales volume, profit margins, client acquisition costs, and market penetration
  • Provide regular updates to management on market trends, competitive intelligence, and sales forecasts
  • Identify opportunities for product line expansion and market development

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management or related field

Experience: 3+ years in retail fixture/equipment sales, store planning, or related industry

Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets in B2B environments

Skills: Understanding of retail space planning, merchandising principles, and fixture specifications

Excellent relationship building, negotiation, and presentation abilities

Travel: Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to visit client locations and industry trade shows
