Job description

Assessment Systems Corporation (ASC) is seeing a results-driven Account Executive to drive our growth to the next level.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and closing partnerships with professional boards, licensing bodies, and other organizations that administer high-stakes exams. Your focus will be to recommend stronger, more flexible, and more cost-effective exam delivery solutions that improve the experience for both test-takers and administrators.

The goal of this position is to uncover new opportunities by soft outbound connections as well as demand generation, such as reaching out to leads to announce an upcoming webinar we might host.  If the lead is a straightforward software sale, you will close it yourself; if it requires deep knowledge of psychometrics, one of our PhD psychometricians or product experts will work with you to close.  This industry is one of trust, so expertise and relationships are the key.

 
Responsibilities:

Outbound

  • Identify and target prospective certification boards, licensing authorities, and testing organizations.
  • Reach out to our database of 10k past inbound leads (downloaded free materials from our website)
  • Source new opportunities on LinkedIn, with a very soft approach, typically recommending free resources
  • Outbound email to cold but specifically-targeted leads; for example, we can provide a list of all clients at a direct competitor or members of an industry association
  • Develop and nurture relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in the high-stakes testing industry.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and consultative sales presentations tailored to client needs.
  • Communicate the value proposition of our online exam platform, highlighting advantages such as scalability, security, and affordability.
  • Collaborate with product and customer success teams to ensure seamless onboarding and client satisfaction.
  • Stay current with trends and challenges in the testing and credentialing industry to provide informed recommendations.
  • Develop strategies to further accelerate revenue growth
  • Achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals and pipeline metrics


 

Inbound

  • Qualify inbound leads that are assigned to you (they are distributed based on geography and area of expertise)
  • Understand our clients and products, to be able to effectively recommend solutions
  • Schedule product demonstrations
  • Answer questions about our software products and consulting services
  • Recognize the need to bring in additional expertise from other team members
  • Provide pricing proposals; informal for smaller deals, lengthy/formal for larger deals
  • Consistently follow up with leads to determine if valid opportunity or not
 

Cultivate our brand

  • Maintain a strong presence on social media 
  • Present and network at professional conferences
  • Evaluate new areas of potential growth, such as third-party partnerships or resellers, or fit of our solutions into certain markets
  • Contribute to marketing efforts, such as email marketing, social media posts, and blog posts
  • Represent the company at industry conferences and events as needed.
 

Administrative

  • Manage pipeline
  • Log all revenue opportunities in the CRM
  • Weekly reports on outbound, inbound, and pipeline
  • Achieve quarterly and annual goals
 
Requirements:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  • At least 2 years of experience in enterprise SaaS sales, preferably in the assessment industry
  • At least 1 year of experience in outbound B2B SaaS experience
  • High level of organizational skills
  • Excellent speaking, writing, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Google Suite
  • Highly motivated self-starter with the initiative to close deals and resurface old opportunities

Preferred

  • Experience with Zoho CRM and Campaigns
  • Experience in growth tools like SalesHandy (you can choose)
  • Strong professional social media presence
  • Understanding of, or experience in, high stakes testing
  • Strong initiative, able to work independently in a fully remote company
  • Desire to learn and update job knowledge 
  • Experience in using software platforms for exam delivery and proctoring

About the position

Fully remote; you can be anywhere in the world, but locations in the Americas are preferred as most target clients are there

Target pay rate is $20/hour plus commissions with $80k OTE if full-time; can discuss your availability

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibility.

Work Environment

This job is fully virtual. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, and filing cabinets.

Expected Hours of Work

This can be a full-time or part-time position, and hours of work and days are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. CT.  Some flexibility for hours outside this range are required because of international clients.
