Job Title: Area Manager - Public & General Customers
Location: Vietnam, Central
About the role:
Vaccine Business Unit (VBU) at Takeda Vietnam carry the mission of protecting Vietnamese people against dengue fever, a disease which remains a high burden to healthcare system globally as well as in the country.
The Area Manager (AM) – Public and General Customers will play a critical role in driving the defined strategy of Vaccine BU towards a sustainable growth of Takeda’s Dengue Vaccine in Vietnam from commercial perspective and with a focus on customers at public sectors and other general accounts in private sector.
How you will contribute:
1. People Leadership
Take the lead in setting up a fresh, dynamic and capable team of Medical Representatives covering provinces in North & North Central or Central & Highland. The territory could be evolved and expand upon growth of business over time.
Take the challenge of coaching and training medical representatives (MR) on technical skills and soft skills within a short time frame
Providing prompt coaching, guidance, feedback and support to MR to maximize commercial team's performance.
Develop and build a high performance team and be the source of talents for Takeda.
Together with the NCM and BUD, AM will take the driver seat in ensuring all MRs respect and deliver Takeda’s values
Being the role model to MRs in ensuring highest standard in conducting all commercial engagement with HCPs and customers follows compliance
2. Customer Management & Territory Planning
Be the key point of contact for the assigned customers/KOLs/HCPs in Public and General accounts for all queries related to company product.
Work closely with NCM to set up the foundation for KOL and HCP engagement plan for the team.
Take charge of developing quarterly territory planning that will be aligned with overall Vaccine business and brand strategy.
Lead and coach MRs to build and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with customers and partners, understanding their unique needs and delivering tailored solutions with excellence.
Work closely with the other peers in Commercial team, marketing and medical to ensure Takeda image to KOLs and HCPs across channels nationwide.
Stay abreast of market information and market trend (including updated news on regulation related to our business, customer insights, market insights, commercial performance of territory management at account level and in-arm data of our product, etc.) to guide the team in territory planning, customer management and contribute to actionable brand plan of marketing team.
3. Commercial Performance Excellence
Define SMART KPIs in terms of Objectives and Effectiveness for the dedicated commercial team and its MRs.
Drive a culture of commercial excellence and continuous improvement.
Ensure aligning the entire team’s activities with the Vaccine BU’s objectives and marketing plans.
Ensure excellence in executing commercial activities at HCOs/vaccination centers (group product presentation, promotional call, etc.) of his/her team.
Work with 3rd party to manage tender process for optimizing the business opportunities towards public accounts when and where is required.
Support NCM and work effectively with Marketing and Commercial Excellence colleagues for forecasting, target planning and allocation, data tracking, consolidation and analysis, including but not limited to tender promotional scheme.
What you bring to Takeda:
Essential:
Mandatory to hold a university degree in medicine or pharmacy
Minimum 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with experience in managing KOLs, top HCOs, key accounts
Compliance mind-set is a must
Excellent communication and presentation skills in Vietnamese
Desired:
Experience in people leadership or people manager is an advantage.
Experience in vaccine is preferred, regardless of role and responsibilities
Good command of English (verbal, reading and writing)

Internal stakeholders: Vaccine medical, Vaccine marketing, and other peers in Vaccine Team; VN Ethnic and Compliance Officer, Business Operation (Commercial Excellence, Training); PV; Human Resource.
External stakeholders: Distributor, Hospital/ Institute/ CDC management/ procurement/ tender/ pharmacy department, KOL, prescribers
Other Job Requirements
Travelling time: approximately up to 60% per month in the first 6 months and up to 80% in subsequent months
