If you are based in Portugal or if you have a valid working permit to work in Portugal, we are looking for you! TLScontact is hiring for the role of Cyber Security Architect , that will report to our Head of Cyber Security.


Main Missions:

The Cyber Security Architect is responsible for developing and implementing robust cyber security strategies to protect the organization's digital assets. This role involves designing and maintaining security architecture, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and proactively addressing potential threats. The Cyber Security Architect will collaborate with various teams to support the organization's overall security posture.


Role and Responsibilities:

Cyber Security Strategy

  • Create and maintain comprehensive cyber security roadmaps and design standards
  • Align security initiatives with the organization's digital transformation goals
  • Identify and prioritize security projects based on risk assessments
  • Conduct security research on tools, threats, and vulnerabilities
  • Participate in industry forums and conferences to share knowledge and learn from peers.

Implement and Manage Security Tools

  • Evaluate and procure appropriate security solutions aligned with the company’s needs
  • Administer and troubleshoot a range of cyber security tools, including anti-malware, scanning, SIEM, encryption, GPO etc.
  • Ensure the effective operation and maintenance of the security tools
  • Provide training and support to IT staff on the use of security tools
  • Continuously identify opportunities for improvements across technologies and business processes

Compliance and Risk Management

  • Organize penetration tests, audits and the collection of compliance evidence
  • Report on the health and security posture of the technology environments
  • Develop policies and procedures to ensure consistent security practices
  • Perform regular vulnerability and risk assessments

Training and Awareness

  • Drive security awareness initiatives within the organization
  • Implement and report on effectiveness of initiatives to the leadership team

Collaboration & Project Management

  • Lead projects for the implementation and migration of cyber security solutions
  • Coordinate with vendors and external partners for project execution
  • Ensure timely delivery of projects within scope and budget
  • Collaborate with other IT teams, clients and business stakeholders as needed to address security issues

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or preferably master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Cyber Security architecture or a related role
  • Proficiency in cyber security tools and technologies (e.g., anti-malware, SIEM, scanning, encryption, GPO etc.).
  • Awareness of the latest security trends and best practices through a continuous-learning mindset
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Exposure to international and multicultural work environment
  • Fluency in English (B2 level equivalent)
