The Governmental Affairs & Market Access colleague oversees development and execution of integrated national and cluster market access/policy/advocacy/government affairs/corporate affairs, as well as pricing strategy in collaboration with country/cluster management and regional leadership that delivers against overall short-, mid- and long-term business strategy within a highly complex environment.

You will initiate & lead negotiations with government authorities to gain/maintain appropriate patient access & reimbursement for the products promoted by Medison. Being accountable for external engagement strategy, you will be a senior spokesperson for Medison, responsible for the development and implementation of policy/government affairs/corporate affairs plan and accountable for critical relationships with government, advocacy groups, media, and other key external stakeholders.

This is a hybrid position and you would be expected to be in our office in Kaunas 3 days per week.


Responsibilities

 ·      Gain & maintain access and reimbursement for inline products to help deliver Medison’s short-, mid-, long-term success, and develop effective access strategies for pipeline products to support the company’s future success

·      Coordinate planning and assumptions for budget and long-range plans

·      Develop & execute healthcare policy, government relations and customer/stakeholder engagement strategies to shape our environment, working as Medison and with Medison’s Partners

·      Develop and execute corporate affairs plan which ensures effective bidirectional communication with media, respectively through media with key stakeholders

·      Innovation & transformation: Leads horizon scanning and partners to anticipate and build critical future capabilities

·      Pricing: Develop & execute innovative pricing and contracting strategies, within governance, to deliver value to customers and secure an appropriate value capture

·      Reputation: Build & leverage Medison’s reputation as a credible, science-based thought leader that makes meaningful contributions to patients, providers, health systems and society

·      Collaboration: Partner effectively with Medison commercial, medical, and functional colleagues to support Medison’s business and mission

·      Best Team: Develop, empower, coach and lead a talented, results oriented

·      Maintain good coordination with Country Manager’s & Medison’s partners from the Central Cluster area


Internal and External Work Interfaces:

·      Internal - collaborate across all functions in the region as well as global HQ in Israel

·     External - works with regulatory authorities, patient organizations, senior managers and decision makers at partner companies, physicians, medical teams, KOL's, senior management at Ministry of Health and Other Authorities


Requirements

Required Education and Experience: 

·      Strong understanding of payer and government environment, including reimbursement, pricing, and contracting, value drivers, formulary management, understanding HTA (Health Technology Assessment) policy and government affairs/policy/advocacy at local level

·      Minimum 5 years of expertise and experience in corporate affairs/market access within biopharma/pharma industry

·      Minimum 5 years of experience with direct payer or experience in product commercialization

·      Good knowledge on macroeconomic, political, and social environment

·      Strategic planning and health policy experience
