We are searching for the best talent for a Technical Sales Manager position.  This position is Fully Remote.

Job Description:
 

We are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Technical Sales Manager to join our MedTech Digital team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of connected devices, software in medtech, and their application in the field of healthcare. This person will be responsible for providing technical support on a national level to sales representatives, presenting product demonstrations, answering clinical questions that arise from customers, and establishing strong relationships with potential and existing customers at hospitals.

You will be responsible for:

  • Represent the company as the technical authority during sales pitches, elucidating the technological advantages and tech stack of our connected devices and software.
  • Partner with Area Directors, Regional Sales Managers to craft and implement successful sales strategies, focusing on IT/IS stakeholders.
  • Aid in curating technical proposals, encompassing all required product details, technical specs, and delivery specifics.
  • Facilitate supplemental advanced training sessions for both the sales team and external clientele on product usage.
  • Cultivate robust ties with major customers, discern their outstanding needs, and offer technical backing to bolster sales team performance.
  • Collaborate with the customer success and service divisions, ensuring best-in-class clients receive unparalleled support, encouraging customer dedication and expansion.
  • In the future, manage a small team of technical sales specialists and conduct periodic field visits to develop their support skills.
  • Represent J&J at relevant industry functions, promoting our offerings.
  • Promptly channel all customer grievances through designated pathways.
  • Remain abreast of product improvements and pertinent industry evolutions.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams, aligning products with market requirements.
     

Qualifications / Requirements:  

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field. Advanced Degree or equivalent experience preferred.


Required:

  • 8+ years of healthcare/MedTech experience or 6+ years with advanced degree
  • Proven experience in technical sales, preferably within the connected medical device industry with SaaS/cloud experience.
  • Strong knowledge of connected medical devices
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently to meet with clients and attend industry events.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Procedural support experience in surgical procedures.
  • People management experience.
  • Experience selling connected devices into hospitals
  • Knowledge of articulating cloud-based infrastructures, EHR interfaces, network diagrams & data flows
  • Knowledge of software architectures to protect PHI, data encryption, and data de-identification
  • Knowledge of hospital network connectivity and cybersecurity protection protocols
  • Experience with navigating hospital data security questionnaires and managing relevant stakeholders

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to travel up to 40%.
     

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $115,000 – $195,800.
 

California Bay Area - The anticipated base pay range for this position is $141,000 - $227,700.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs.  Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan.  The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year.  Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
 

Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance.
