About the role
As a Data Manager, you will join a small, ambitious, cross-functional team delivering end-to-end services for external client sponsors and conducting the foundational research that underlies the development and validation of new objective digital biomarkers and outcomes. You will support senior clinical study leads, senior data managers, and research scientists to execute externally facing client studies and internal R&D initiatives. Projects will cover a range of therapeutic areas, stakeholder groups and patient journeys. In this role you will use our VivoSense® software platforms to assist in the collection and management of high-resolution wearable sensor data.
Competitive candidates will have a background in human subjects research, be able to work both independently and cross-functionally, have strong communication and analytical skills, and have a passion for improving clinical trials through patient-centric digital evidence.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Data Management: Learn how to use VivoSense® software to visualize and clean complex datasets, such as actigraphy and respiratory data. Support senior science team personnel in delivering high-quality data to our customers, by performing tasks like data cleaning, compliance monitoring and data quality review.
- Implementation: Support coordination of study approval and execution, manage vendors and work with our sponsors to ensure data collection is accurately carried out according to the study protocol. Perform a variety of operational tasks under the guidance of senior science team personnel, such as creating and maintaining accurate study records and documentation.
- Reporting and Communication: Contribute, in a time-sensitive and professional manner, to study data reports, dashboards and dissemination activities. Create and maintain study data trackers for auditing compliance purposes. Engage in client-facing meetings (prepare meeting material, meeting minutes, and follow up on action items), and maintain daily communication with clients, vendors and the wider VivoSense team. Disseminate best practices with internal stakeholders.
- Culture: Contribute to Science Team culture within VivoSense, promoting knowledge sharing and bringing new ideas into the group.
About you
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- At least 1-3 years experience with at least one of the following:
- Physiological monitoring sensors (e.g. actigraphy and respiratory sensors)
- Physiological time-series data (e.g. sleep or ECG data sets)
- Scientific collaboration, including communicating verbally and in writing, and managing expectations across stakeholders with various backgrounds, (e.g., clients, internal stakeholders)
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a field such as:
- Quantitative disciplines (e.g., Machine Learning, Biostatistics, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science)
- Human physiology (e.g., Biology, Medicine)
- Qualitative research disciplines (e.g., Social Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Health Outcomes, Cognitive or Experimental Psychology)
- Passion for patient-centric research and engagement
- Detail-oriented, organized, adaptable, and eager to learn
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of general software systems and proven ability to learn new systems
- Willingness to work outside of standard business hours, as needed
- Bonus: Expertise in human subjects clinical research; experience with pharmaceutical industry; experience with regulatory submissions
