Position Summary Boyd & Jenerette is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support our Jacksonville office. Location & Commitments: Practice Area / Department: Construction Status: Full-time / Non-Exempt Work Schedule: Monday to Friday; 8 hours per day / 40 hours per week. Work Location: Hybrid or Fully Remote - Must reside in Florida or Georgia Responsibilities Draft legal documents, including correspondence, pleadings, and contracts. Schedule and organize client meetings, hearings, and attorney conferences. Coordinate with court reporters, expert witnesses, and other services. Prepare expense reports and check requests. Manage attorneys' calendars and Outlook email. Assist with case screening, investigation, and e-filing pleadings. Prepare discovery documents and assist with pretrial prep. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements & Competencies At least 2 years of experience in a similar role (insurance defense preferred). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel). Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Basic knowledge of court and administrative proceedings. Familiarity with lawsuit summaries, litigation files, and legal record maintenance. Proficiency in administrative tasks. Works well in a team environment.
