What You'll Do: 

The Head of Quality will be responsible for defining and executing the quality strategy across Polycam’s suite of products (iOS, Android, Web, API, and backend services). You will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and Design teams to integrate quality practices into every stage of the development lifecycle, own the release management process, and champion a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and drive the overall Quality vision, roadmap, and best practices across all product lines.
  • Establish quality KPIs and metrics for product releases, bug rates, crash-free rates, and test coverage.
  • Gain familiarity with Polycams testing workflow via hands-on ownership of test planning, execution, and automation across platforms
  • Hire, mentor, and lead a growing team of QA engineers across manual and automated testing.
  • Foster a high-performing, collaborative, and innovative QA team culture.
  • Identify, communicate, and manage risks related to product releases and feature launches.
  • Lead initiatives for root cause analysis and continuous quality improvement.
  • Build and evolve scalable QA processes, from manual regression to automated testing pipelines.
  • Oversee test plans, test case design, test execution, defect reporting, and triage processes.
  • Represent QA in product planning, sprint planning, design reviews, and incident reviews.
  • Lead the effort to expand automated test coverage across platforms (mobile, web, backend APIs).
  • Partner with Engineering teams to build efficient CI/CD pipelines integrated with automated testing.
  • Oversee and improve the release readiness processes, including release criteria, sign-off processes, and post-release quality metrics.
  • Participate in the management of Polycam’s Early Access Program, prioritizing bugs and feedback from a cohort of beta-test users

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with 3+ years in a QA leadership role, preferably in fast-paced, high-growth product companies.
  • Deep experience testing mobile applications (iOS, Android) and web platforms.
  • Strong technical understanding of test automation frameworks, CI/CD, backend testing, and mobile testing.
  • Proven ability to build and scale QA teams and processes from early stage to maturity.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Design teams.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira and BrowserStack
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Passion for Polycam’s mission and user base, with a commitment to delivering exceptional product experiences.

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience working in 3D, AR/VR, or camera-based technology products.
  • Experience with performance, load, and security testing practices.
  • Background in agile environments, including Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
  • Experience with additional tools such as Cypress, and mobile testing frameworks like Appium or XCUITest.

Salary Range:

The salary range for this role is $190,000 – $235,000. We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining final salary, therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance options.
