About the Client

Our client is an additive manufacturing company based in Houston, Texas with capabilities spanning the entire product lifecycle, from ideation/design enhancement to full-scale

production. Though leveraging MBJ, DLP, SLS and traditional manufacturing technologies, AmPd Labs is able to manufacture products from a wide array of materials ranging from metals to polymers.

About the Role

Our client seeks a skilled 3D CAD Modeler with substantial experience creating accurate CAD models from mechanical drawings and 3D scans. The ideal candidate will also have hands- on experience developing new industrial and consumer products. Hands-on FEA experience is a bonus but not a must.

What you’ll do:

● Create detailed 3D CAD models from mechanical drawings and 3D scan data.

● Interpret technical drawings, GD&T, and specifications to develop accurate models & production plans.

● Perform FEA simulations on parts to prepare them for the additive manufacturing process.

● Use 3D scan data to generate inspection reports utilizing specialized software (e.g., Live Inspect, Geomagic Control X, GOM Inspect, PolyWorks Inspector).

● Develop and present design solutions for customers based on project requirements.

● Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to optimize designs.

● Prepare detailed technical reports summarizing modeling, simulation, and inspection results.
