How will you fit in the big picture?
Reporting the Senior Manager, Innovation, Portfolio and Shopper, this position oversees a team of 3 responsible for establishing our portfolio priorities, identifying and executing growth opportunities, developing customer specific items and programs and optimizing our merchandising and shopper marketing programs and overall in-store presence. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills as well as an ability to translate insights into strategies. The successful candidate must possess strong leadership, attention to detail and a sense of urgency to deliver key strategic projects with excellence.
What will you do?
As a critical member of the Hershey Marketing team, the
Manager, Shopper, Portfolio and Merchandising Strategy
will:
Analyze a variety of data sources and combine insights to deliver actionable recommendations, growth strategies, risks and opportunities
Establish format, sku and merchandising priorities rooted in strong insights
Review trends, identify emerging formats and white space opportunities
Lead annual business review and annual planning to establish portfolio and merchandising growth opportunities
Drive annual sku review and rationalization process in collaboration with cross functional partners
Identify channel and customer specific insights to develop customer exclusive pipeline strategies and oversee commercialization of customer exclusive innovation
Oversee the Shopper Marketing team providing coaching and guidance on our national and customer specific shopper programs, partnerships and in-store execution
Support customer development plans with innovation, merchandising and shopper marketing recommendations and represent shopper marketing in key customer meetings
Lead, coach and manage a team of three (3)
Become an expert in the chocolate, candy and baking categories to help impact and shape a dynamic, competitive and fun category!
Skills, Knowledge And Education Requirements
Business degree or equivalent experience with a marketing or related major preferred
A minimum of 5yrs+ of progressive marketing or related experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG)
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in extracting and interpreting Nielsen and Numerator data into actions
Solid understanding of financial statements and accounting principles
Outstanding project management, relationship management, and communication skills
Exceptional leadership capabilities, strong cross-functional collaborator and ability to drive decision-making
Proven track record of leading agencies to create and execute high impact shopper marketing campaigns
People management experience
