Job description

Job Title: Finance & Compliance Executive

Location: Pune

Experience Required: 3–5 years

 

Role Summary

As VE3 expands across the UK and India, we are seeking a hands-on, experienced Finance & Compliance Executive to own the end-to-end finance operations and statutory compliance for both geographies. This role is suited for a detail-oriented finance professional with cross-border exposure and strong expertise in accounting standards, payroll compliance, taxation, and regulatory filings in both the UK and India.

You will work closely with our UK leadership team, external accountants, and payroll providers to ensure that VE3’s financial operations run smoothly and compliantly across jurisdictions.

 

Core Responsibilities

Financial Accounting (India & UK)

  • Maintain accurate books of accounts for India; coordinate with UK accountants to ensure consistency in reporting.
  • Ensure timely month-end closures, reconciliations, and intercompany accounting.
  • Support preparation of consolidated MIS reports, financial summaries, and board-level dashboards.
  • Maintain audit trails, financial documentation, and SOPs for finance operations.

Payroll Compliance & Coordination

  • India:
    • Coordinate with payroll software provider to ensure correct inputs and statutory deductions (PF, ESIC, PT, TDS, etc.)
    • Oversee monthly payroll output validation and ensure timely statutory filings.
  • UK:
    • Review outputs from UK payroll provider (e.g., PAYE, NI, pension) and ensure RTI submissions and year-end filings (P60s, P11Ds) are completed.
    • Serve as the liaison with UK accountants/payroll agents for timely submissions.

Taxation & Statutory Filings

  • India:
    • Ensure timely GST filings, TDS payments, income tax returns, MCA/ROC compliance, and audit documentation.
    • Liaise with statutory auditors and external CAs during audit cycles.
  • UK:
    • Coordinate with UK accountants for VAT returns, Corporation Tax filings (CT600), and Companies House submissions.
    • Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and deadlines.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Cash Flow

  • Assist with budget preparation, cash flow monitoring, and operational expense tracking across both entities.
  • Flag variances and provide actionable insights for cost optimization and financial planning.

Audit Support & Governance

  • Prepare and manage documentation for statutory, internal, and external audits.
  • Ensure timely submissions of required schedules and reconciliations.
  • Own internal controls documentation and process adherence across both countries.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • CA, ACCA, CIMA, or MBA in Finance (preferred)
  • Familiarity with UK GAAP and Indian accounting standards

Experience & Skills:

  • 3–5 years in core accounting, taxation, and compliance
  • Proven experience managing UK and Indian statutory obligations
  • Hands-on knowledge of:
    • Indian platforms like Tally, Zoho Books, Keka
    • UK tools such as Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent, or coordination with accounting bureaus
  • Strong understanding of:
    • VAT, PAYE, NI, P60/P11D, Companies House filings (UK)
    • TDS, GST, PF/ESIC, ROC, and audit prep (India)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Desirable Skills:

  • Working knowledge or implementation experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
  • Experience with multi-currency accounting and intercompany workflows
  • Familiarity with modern payroll platforms (e.g., Keka, ADP, Moorepay)
