As a key member of our International Sales team, you will drive ORBCOMM’s growth and market presence in Southern Europe, Eastern Europe and Turkey by identifying new opportunities, cultivating strategic partnerships, and implementing innovative solutions to expand our customer base. This role focuses on business expansion through both direct sales and indirect channels, contributing to the overall growth of ORBCOMM’s product lines in the region.  


You will be collaborating with a talented global and local team, while also enjoying the autonomy and comfort of remote work in European Union.

 

 

What You’ll Do: 

 

New Business Development: 

  • Identify, engage, and close new customers in the IoT, Industrial IoT, and Telematics markets.
  • Build a strong pipeline of opportunities through prospecting, networking, and attending industry events.

Key Account Management and Growth: 

  • Expand and strengthen relationships with existing customers.
  • Upsell and cross-sell new products, services, and solutions.
  • Develop account strategies to drive multi-year revenue growth.

Territory Strategy: 

  • Develop and execute a business development plan for the region.
  • Map and prioritize target industries, partners, and customers.

Customer Engagement: 

  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, understanding their IoT needs and aligning solutions to their strategic priorities.
  • Conduct executive-level presentations and solution demonstrations.

Internal Collaboration: 

  • Work closely with the Sales Coordinator, Pre-Sales, Product, and Operations teams to ensure customer satisfaction and successful onboarding.
  • Provide structured feedback on customer needs and market trends to internal stakeholders.

Sales Process Excellence: 

  • Maintain accurate pipeline management and forecasting through Salesforce (CRM).
  • Ensure regular reporting of activities, opportunities, and risks.

Who You Are: 

 

You’re a strategic thinker with a knack for operational excellence, ready to tackle multiple priorities with agility and grace. If you have:  

 

  • 7+ years of sales or business development experience in Industrial IoT, Satellite Communications, or Technology/Telematics sectors.
  • Good understanding of Transportation, Agriculture, Energy markets 
  • Proven track record of both new business wins and account expansion.
  • Fluent in French (C1/C2) is needed. Professional proficiency in Spanish would be a plus.
  • Strong understanding of IoT technologies, connectivity solutions (cellular, satellite, LPWAN), and B2B sales cycles.
  • Ability to work independently, drive initiatives, and manage a hybrid hunter/farmer sales role.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel across the region (~50% to 60%).
