Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Technical Illustrator to create clear, accurate, and visually compelling illustrations for home equipment and furniture products. This role is essential in supporting product documentation, assembly manuals, user guides, and marketing collateral by translating complex information into easy-to-understand visuals. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for detail, proficiency in 2D/3D illustration tools, and experience working with product design or manufacturing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop technical illustrations, diagrams, and exploded views of mechanical assemblies.
Collaborate with product engineers, designers, and technical writers to interpret design specifications and translate them into visual content.
Produce illustrations for instruction manuals, assembly guides, installation procedures, and product labeling.
Ensure consistency with brand style, visual standards, and technical accuracy across all illustrations.
Revise and update illustrations based on feedback or product changes.
Ensure steps are mirroring the assembly diagrams and then correct them as needed.
Manage illustration assets and maintain version control across projects.
Occasionally support marketing and eCommerce teams with rendered visuals or simplified diagrams for consumer-facing platforms.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Technical Illustrator, preferably in home equipment, furniture, or consumer products.
Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Adobe Illustrator, SolidWorks Composer, AutoCAD, CorelDRAW, or equivalent 2D/3D design tools.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, CAD files, and technical documentation.
Strong understanding of perspective, isometric drawing, and visual storytelling.
High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
A strong portfolio showcasing relevant technical illustration work.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with furniture design, mechanical parts, or home appliance components.
Experience working with manufacturing or product development teams.
Knowledge of UI/UX design or animation is a plus.
