Job description

As a Microsoft Power Platform/D365 Architect at Sprezzatura, you will support a high-profile software development project in support of the Department of Veterans Affairs. This person is expected to have a background in Microsoft Power Platform or Dynamics 365 CRM development and administration. Responsibilities may include managing security, troubleshooting, and end-user support. This position will offer direct exposure to our core business with a focus on ensuring customer success with scalable solutions, processes, and applications. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and own the daily cross-functional operational readiness of VA’s enterprise Microsoft Power Platform and associates supporting the program. 
  • Participate as an active member of the enterprise Microsoft Power Platform program that will help guide the roadmap, identify and solve gaps in the program model. 
  • Manage security, users, roles, profiles, groups, queues, and other setup options, as necessary. 
  • Maintain the integrity of services integrated with our cloud environments, including proprietary in-house systems and external integrations. 
  • Contribute across all phases of the software development lifecycle.   
  • Provide hands on technical expertise to design and implement Power Platform/D365 based solutions satisfying customer requirements. 
  • Adept at crafting Power Apps and Power Platform solutions with the ability to impart your knowledge to both pro-developers and citizen developers. 
  • Partner with cross-function technology and design teams to ensure consistent, positive client interaction and solution delivery. 
  • Integrate the business strategy and knowledge of software capabilities (current and future) into the direction for all products. 
  • Be responsible for architecting and designing Power Platform tenants/environments, liaising with IT, Security, and other technical groups to ensure all integration needs are met and fully implemented. 
  • Train/support end users with the use of the Microsoft Power Platform application and act as an escalation point for internal issues. 
  • Hands-on experience with Power Apps and Power Platform model driven and canvas app solutions.   
  • Identify trends and predict future needs to assure our customer is getting the best service and experience possible. 
  • Provide hands on technical expertise to design and implement Power Platform/D365 based solutions satisfying customer requirements.  
  • Adept at crafting Power Apps and Power Platform solutions with the ability to impart your knowledge to both pro-developers and citizen developers.  
  • Be responsible for architecting and designing Power Platform tenants/environments, liaising with IT, Security, and other technical groups to ensure all integration needs are met and fully implemented.  
  • Support documentation of application architecture deliverables that are consistent with architecture principles, standards, methodologies, and best practices.  
  • Lead technical design sessions with the pro and citizen development stakeholders.  
  • Guide technology/solution decisions with architecture and product teams for projects.  
  • Collaborate with architecture and development teams to perform code reviews to ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architecture/design or Microsoft recommended best practices for Power Platform. 

Qualifications: 

  • Microsoft Power Platform or Dynamics 365 CRM development experience  
  • 8+ years  
  • US Citizen or green card holder with the ability to obtain and maintain a government public trust 
  • Education: BA/BS degree in a computer discipline, or equivalent applicable experience 
  • Core Skills: Javascript, Liquid, SQL, .NET, Power Apps, Dynamics CRM, Microsoft DataVerse (CDS), Power Automate 
  • Familiarity with Agile project management and sprint planning 
  • Highly skilled in interpersonal and verbal/written communications, presentations, math, analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Experience in design and development of Canvas and Model-driven Power Apps by utilizing Microsoft Dataverse, SharePoint, or other databases as the backend data storage model
     

Preferred Certifications or willingness to get: 

  • PL-900 – Power Platform Fundamentals 
  • PL-100 – Power Platform App Maker 
  • PL-400 - Power Platform Developer 
  • PL-200 – Power Platform Functional Consultant 
  • PL/MB-600 – Microsoft Dynamics 365 + Power Platform Solution Architect 
  • MB-901 – Microsoft Certified Dynamics 365 Fundamentals
