About the team and the role:
We partner with our customers to remove barriers for growth, build loyalty to the eBay marketplace through understanding the needs of seller businesses, taking ownership, and driving seller profitability. The Commercial Exporter Advisor will proactively enable marketplace growth by developing long-term relationships with strategic sellers. You will develop tailored business plans to ensure each business achieves their growth goals on eBay focusing on cross border trade. They will be the single point of contact for relevant queries and will perform monthly health checks and business reviews to ensure the success of each customer. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the German financial markets and a proven track record of successful trading strategies. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio, analyzing market trends, and implementing trades to improve returns!

What you will accomplish:

  • Analyze and improve seller performance using our internal CRM tool, focusing on aligning their activities with customer priorities and business goals.
  • Maintain regular communication with sellers via email and weekly phone calls to discuss progress and address any concerns.
  • Document all interactions, goals, and progress for each seller using CRM tools.
  • Provide comprehensive support to high-value sellers on issues such as growth strategies, technical problems, billing, shipping programs, and policy questions.
  • Educate and mentor sellers on new platform updates and seller release rollouts to ensure they are well-informed and able to adapt.
  • Manage relationships within a specific vertical, collaborating with managers and leads, onboarding new merchants, and participating in pilots to increase business unit revenue streams.

What you will bring:

  • A proactive, motivated, and focused mindset with strong commercial acumen
  • Proven success in exceeding performance/ sales targets (at least 2/3 years sales experience)
  • Proven ability to influence effectively at all organisational levels while expertly multitasking with careful attention to detail. 
  • Outstanding relationship-building skills, characterized by integrity, reliability, and maturity
  • Knowledgeable about e-commerce business models and adaptable to change, with a passionate commitment to customer advocacy and a focus on daily customer satisfaction. 
  • Skilled in communication and influence across all organizational levels with a credible and effective presence.
  • Experienced in managing multiple projects with meticulous attention to detail and adept at problem-solving with a flexible approach.
