Job Title: Treasury Accountant
Location: Remote working
Type: Permanent, Full - time (37.5 hrs per week)
Velonetic represents the joint ventures between DXC Technology, the International Underwriting Association (IUA), and Lloyd’s of London. Previously referred to as the London Market Joint Ventures, we have been operating for over 20 years in the London market (Lloyd's and Company), in both insurance and reinsurance business. Processing over £101 billion worth of premium and claims transactions today, we are building a new digital platform and services that will enable our customers to move transactions and money through the processing lifecycle with greater efficiency and speed, releasing time to drive innovation and focus on higher value activities.
Essential Job Functions:
• Manage organizations financial assets, ensuring adequate liquidity and supporting investment and debt activities.
• Critical role in banking relationships, financial risk management and compliance with treasury policies and regulations.
• Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and controls.
• Participate in the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports.
• Support a team of controllers and accountants, contributing to their development.
• Collaborate in the budgeting and forecasting process.
• Engage with external auditors to facilitate financial audits.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with accounting regulations and internal controls.
• Assist in financial analysis to provide decision support.
• Promote teamwork and a collaborative environment within the controllership team.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Typically, 6+ years of relevant work experience in industry, with a minimum of 2+ years in a similar role
• Proven experience in financial management, accounting, and control functions
• Proficiencies in financial reporting, audit compliance, and risk management
• Continuous learner that stays abreast with industry knowledge and technology
• Previous experience using a Treasury Management System would be desirable.
Other Qualifications:
• Advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA, CFA) is a plus
