Position Overview:

Were looking for a sharp, strategic Senior Accountant to lead and elevate financial operations. You'll oversee accounting processes, ensure U.S. GAAP compliance, support audits, and drive improvements in systems and workflows. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and remote experience working with US-based teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure compliance with GAAP.
Lead the month-end and year-end close processes.
Prepare and review financial statements and management reports.
Perform variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Own end-to-end AP/AR process execution and oversight.
Guide the bookkeeping team on accuracy and timeliness.
Ensure accurate reconciliations (bank, credit card, etc.).
Design and implement internal controls and audit-ready documentation.
Optimize financial systems and tools (QuickBooks Online, Excel, Google Sheets, etc.).
Support software integrations and process improvements.

Qualifications:

5+ years of accounting experience, including 2+ years with US-based companies.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, accrual accounting, and compliance.
Advanced QuickBooks Online skills.
Excel/Google Sheets mastery (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, advanced formulas).
Experience preparing financial statements and managing audits.
Payroll processing familiarity.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setup.
