Job description

We’re looking for a creative and collaborative Instructional Designer & Training Content Developer to join our Product Communications Team in their mission to produce engaging content. In this role, you'll transform complex product information into engaging learning experiences for both internal teams and external audiences. You’ll partner closely with product managers, subject matter experts, and go-to-market stakeholders to build scalable education and enablement resources that improve product understanding, adoption, and customer success. 

What you'll do:
  • Design and develop learning materials (e.g., e-learning modules, job aids, instructor-led training) tailored to various audiences including sales, customer support, and endusers. 
  • Translate technical product information into clear, accessible training aligned with business goals. 
  • Partner with Product Management, Technical Communicators, and Customer Success teams to create enablement content for product launches, feature rollouts, and roadmap updates. 
  • Maintain a content development calendar and ensure training content and instructional materials are regularly updated in line with product releases. 
  • Develop and maintain online certification programs for clients and partners. 
  • Leverage instructional design best practices, adult learning theory, and modern learning technologies to create engaging learning experiences. 
  • Evaluate training effectiveness using data and feedback to continuously improve content. 
  • Support the development of product learning pathways for new hires and existing employees. 

  • What you'll bring:
  • 3+ years of experience in instructional design, preferably within a SaaS, technology, or product-focused organization. 
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, a passion for learning, and a highly collaborative mindset. 
  • Strong experience developing training for both technical and non-technical audiences. 
  • Familiarity with the Absorb learning management system, e-learning tools(e.g., Articulate, Adobe Captivate, Rise, Camtasia), and content development platforms. 
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a knack for simplifying the complex. 
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple deliverables and stakeholders. 
  • A passion for learning, collaboration, and helping others succeed through education. 

  • Bonus if you have:
  • Experience working closely with Product Management teams. 
  • Background in UX/UI principles or user-centered design thinking. 
  • Experience in video editing, audio editing, graphic design, and motion graphics. 
  • Knowledge of professional video production workflows and media handling. 
  • Familiarity with video content production for social media and YouTube. 
  • The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Everbridge ranges from $78,000 - $99,000 CAD and may also include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
