Essential Functions:
Obtains information necessary to approve and process renewals for fidelity and commercial surety. Communicates with underwriters and agents to obtain the necessary information. Assesses risk and makes the final decision on approving and issuance of new and renewal bond policies within limited authority. Travels with manager to meet with agents and insureds to learn about underwriting and marketing.
Enters, rates, and codes all new bond business and renewals. Develops premiums for all bonds.
Enters all cancellations and endorsements. Preps, images, and indexes correspondence into the computer system from email, mail, and underwriters.
Issues and processes all status inquiries on contract bonds. Enters and assists the bond underwriters with general indemnity agreements for contract and miscellaneous bond accounts as well as tracking them. Assists underwriters by entering financial statements and work-in-progress information into the bond underwriting system.
Orders and pulls all personal credit reports and Experian reports for all contract and non-contract bond accounts and updates appropriate systems. Updates underwriters on credit report results. Reviews reports for all contract and non-contract bonds.

The hiring salary range for this position will vary based on geographic location, falling within either the $42,134.00-$58,077.00 range or the $46,466.00-$64,023.00 range. A hiring range represents a subset of the full salary range. The actual salary will depend on several factors, including relevant education, skills, and experience of an applicant, geographic location, and business needs.
