The Demand Planner at Argano is a key member of the Demand Planning team and is responsible for developing accurate demand forecasts with support of team members, determining resource hiring needs (they are experts on utilization), managing resources, and optimizing demand planning processes. They are responsible for coordinating and managing resource allocation for client projects at Argano. This role involves overseeing relationships and agreements with third-party contractors and project managers and coordinates resource planning, allocation, and optimization to ensure projects are adequately staffed. They dominate how many resources are needed to meet project requirements which is essential for ensuring all work output is up to the set standards, saving from resource clashes and taking work that company can deliver.
Responsibilities
Revenue pipeline predictions to figure out resources need.
Managing resource need and assigning
Utilization reports- prepare and maintain relevant material and reports.
Determining resource hiring needs
Collaborate with project managers, senior management, and leadership to identify project resource needs and long-term resource planning.
Develop and implement resource allocation strategies to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Vendor management for contractors- responsible for identifying, evaluating, and selecting contractors who can provide the necessary materials, components, or services required for the demand planning process.
Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
Negotiate and establish contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and pricing terms with contractors.
Assist in data collection and analysis to determine demand patterns and trends.
Gather, prepare, analyze, and validate forecast data; review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, summarize, aggregate, and evaluate forecast results.
Education
MINIMUM AND/OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Human Resources Industrial Engineering, etc. preferred.
Master's degree or PhD in demand planning, project management, etc. or related preferred.
Experience
2-5 years of experience in demand planning, project management, resource allocation, or a relevant role.
Experience applying statistical models and analytics.
Comprehensive knowledge of operations, forecasting technology, systems, market research data.
