Cloud Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cloud Specialist with deep expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure to join our growing IT infrastructure team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and supporting cloud-based solutions that are secure, scalable, and aligned with business needs.

A key aspect of this role involves ensuring our cloud infrastructure and operations comply with recognized security and compliance standards, including ISO 27001, SOC 2, and FedRAMP (Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program).

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure.

• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure best practices are followed.

• Ensure cloud systems meet regulatory and certification requirements, including ISO 27001, SOC 2, and FedRAMP.

• Support internal and external audits, providing documentation, evidence, and expert input as required.

• Optimize cloud costs, monitor usage, and ensure high availability and performance.

• Implement and manage automation tools (e.g., Terraform, ARM Templates, CloudFormation).

• Manage identity, access, and security policies across cloud environments.

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of compliance documentation and policies.

• Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and recommend improvements.

• Support disaster recovery, backup solutions, and business continuity planning.

• Assist in migrating on-premises infrastructure and applications to the cloud.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure in enterprise or regulated environments.

• Experience working with or supporting cloud environments aligned with ISO 27001, SOC 2, and/or FedRAMP.

• Strong understanding of cloud security principles and compliance frameworks.

• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps practices.

• Scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash).

• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch).

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).

• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
