On the Retirement Advanced Markets and Planning Team, we assist our Ash sales team and financial professionals with advanced planning techniques in the retirement planning process. As a RAMP Consultant, you will talk to financial professionals about annuity audit results, structured notes, income planning, and trust-owned annuities with wealth management opportunities for advisors.

Responsibilities

A Retirement Advanced Markets and Planning Consultant creates opportunities for Ash Client Solutions, maintains a hub for advisors on structured notes and serves as a point person for questions pertaining to Advanced Planning concepts.  

To be successful, you will:

  • Conduct Annuity Performance Reviews
  • Support advisors with JourneyGuide software
  • Effectively communicate sales concepts via phone call
  • Create factfinders to demonstrate the utilization of annuities as part of a client’s portfolio
  • Create reports for advisors to show the power of tax deferral
  • Maintain a structured notes hub for advisors
  • Serve as primary contact for advisors’ questions around structured notes
  • Create white papers for advanced planning concepts
  • Be active on social media to drive engagement
  • Conduct advanced planning presentations to address risks, client solutions, structured notes
  • Conduct quarterly product evaluation and produce Ash reports
  • Produce monthly product reports
  • Build relationships and trust with our internal and external sales teams to help drive revenue growth in the division
  • Provide research and information on indices, product enhancements, and opportunities that appear to be useful nationally

Talents and Abilities

  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong phone and computer skills – specifically Microsoft Excel and Word – with the ability to quickly learn use of our internal and carrier software
  • Analytical nature to break down different contracts and compare in a best interest perspective
  • Ability to communicate complex issues with income planning tools to simple terms that the financial professional can relay to the client
  • Ability to communicate complete products (notes) into simple stories for RIA/IARs to understand
  • Ability to communicate via email, phone, digital media, use DSRs, and video concepts
  • Requirement to adhere to compliance protocols and use less materials and more verbal ideas to share information
  •  Fluent in advanced topics like non-natural ownership of annuities, annuity taxation, qualified account taxation, estate tax taxation of annuities, probate knowledge

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with major in business or related field is required
  • 5+ year of annuity experience or equivalent retail experience
  • RIA market experience for wholesaling preferred
  • Professional designations such as ChFC©, CLU©, CFP©, RICP© are beneficial
  • Series 6 & 63 required OR Series 7 preferred
