Sciometrix is seeking a highly motivated Finance Intern with prior experience in QuickBooks, financial data management, bookkeeping, and reporting. The ideal candidate will assist the finance team with daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and data reconciliation activities while gaining valuable real-world experience in a dynamic, growth-focused company.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including recording transactions and reconciling accounts using QuickBooks.
• Support month-end and year-end financial close processes.
• Maintain and organize financial data for reporting and analysis.
• Assist in preparing internal financial reports, budget tracking, and variance analysis.
• Support accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice tracking and payment processing.
• Perform data entry and verification to ensure financial information is accurate and up to date.
• Help streamline financial processes and recommend improvements for efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and analysis.
• Assist with audit preparation and documentation, as needed.
• Stay updated on financial regulations and best practices relevant to the role.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• CA Inter
• Prior hands-on experience with QuickBooks is required.
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial reporting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, basic financial modeling).
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with financial management software and databases.
• Experience supporting audit or compliance-related processes.
• Knowledge of GAAP principles is a plus.
