OVERVIEW:

Alberta Blue Cross® is seeking a System Analyst to join the Finance & HR Systems support team in Information Technology. The Workday HCM solution has already been deployed and a project to implement the Workday Finance solution is under way.

This role will assist with system administration and will be responsible for system configuration, report writing, integrations, role and security group maintenance, and will help manage system releases and new functionality rollouts within Workday.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Provide day-to-day support for the Workday solution.
  • Work with functional leads and business analysts to create functional requirements and assist with configuration activities.
  • Analyze and classify production issues or new enhancements to Workday including identifying changes needed and documenting scope of change and impact on other processes or integrations.
  • Perform troubleshooting and investigate root cause of issues.
  • Support data conversion activities from legacy systems to Workday.
  • Monitor and maintain interfaces between Workday and internal/external vendor system.
  • Create custom Workday reports (including Matrix/Composite Reports) as needed.
  • Set-up and maintain Workday security groups and role assignments.
  • Coordinate testing efforts and maintain issue logs.
  • Work collaboratively with the Finance & HR Systems support team and project teams implementing new Workday capabilities.

WHAT YOU WILL HAVE:

  • Diploma or degree in Computer Science/Software Development or related field is required.
  • 3-5 years of experience supporting or working with Workday's HCM and/or Finance Solutions.
  • Knowledge of Workday implementation tools (Enterprise interface builder (EIB), Workday Studio, OX2.0 Transporter, Workday Report Writer, and Web Services).
  • Experience with Workday reporting (report writer, advanced, composite, matrix, calc fields, iLoads) and Workday security (security profiles & config).
  • Working knowledge of BIRT or Notification Designer strongly preferred.
  • Good knowledge of end-to-end HR and Finance business processes.
  • Good understanding of integration design and testing concepts and integration frameworks (e.g., middleware, transformation logic).
  • Understanding of Workday security groups and role assignments.
  • Knowledge of data conversion concepts and impacts on business processes (such as Workday iLoads or bulk data loading).
  • Knowledge of all phases of the system development lifecycle.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with a focus on documentation, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service focus, responsiveness, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively while demonstrating a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to produce accurate work under pressure with frequent deadlines.
  • Creative and resourceful approach to supporting the business and the ability to think and deliver creative value-added solutions to business through self-initiative and ownership.
  • Knowledge and experience with Coupa would be considered an asset.
